Do I need to have cleaning experience?

NO – we’ll train you! However, professional house cleaning is not easy and it isn’t for everyone.

Do I need a car?

No!!!! We walk, bike ride, or use SEPTA to commute around to our clients in Center City. Since we do not carry supplies from home to home, getting from one client to the next is relatively easy. Plus we optimize your schedule so that your regular clients are in the same area of the city on the same day.

How much can I earn?

During the training period you’ll earn $10 per hour. After that, your pay will be linked directly to your performance.

Full Time – If you are working full time, Monday through Friday, you can expect to earn between $625 – $750 per week + tips, and have opportunities to earn bonus incentives.

Part Time – your pay expectation will depend on the hours you are available.

What is a day of cleaning like?

Honestly, it’s a work-out! But, more specifically, after 2 – 3 months of training and team cleaning, you’ll transition to mostly cleaning solo for your set of regular clients. Most of our clients are bi-weekly or monthly, which means you will become familiar with how to provide them great custom service! So, if you enjoy working independently (and hate sitting at a desk all day), you’re probably a great fit!

Each day, you will have 2 or 3 homes (depending on the size) to clean, located close to one another. You will usually get to meet each client on their first cleaning, and then you’ll be their assigned technician every 2 weeks. Most days, you’ll go directly to your morning client’s home, but there are mornings you’ll need to stop by our center city office first to pick up keys and any needed supplies.

Our average size home takes a little over 3 hours to clean, and then you will head to your afternoon appointment. If you are Full Time, your typical day would end around 4:30 or 5pm. So, you will always be on time to pick up your kids!

Though this is a typical day, no two days are the same (and many of us love that about this job!). If one of your regular clients “skips,” you will probably be on a “team” cleaning, doing the first cleaning for a new client. Team jobs are a great opportunity to get to learn from other techs, and a chance to start getting to know each other. Each of us is wonderfully unique, but we also share a lot in common!

How do I check on my application?

Do you conduct background checks and drug screening?

Yes, due to the nature of employment, we have very strict requirements and most people with a “record” will not meet those requirements. Our position is not a good fit if you have a “record” or utilize drugs.
